T O P I C R E V I E Wgliderpilotuk..was 35 yrs ago yesterday. Doesn't it merit a mention in "Today in history"? I realise that REACHING the moon was the real achievement, but IMHO Ap8 was the understated achievement of the Apollo program. Also, are there any plans for a 35th anniversary reunion? I know Anders and Borman shy away from publicity, but you'd think NASA would celebrate in some way.Paul BramleyejectrIt was mentioned yesterday!Robert PearlmanYesterday's Today in History:"1968: Apollo 8 launches aboard a Saturn V rocket towards a Christmas Eve rendezvous with the Moon."FFrenchThe crew had a personal, private reunion - along with their wives. Uniquely for an Apollo mission, all three crewmembers are married to three original wives.FFgliderpilotukRobert,My apologies - too much Christmas cheer must have resulted in clouded sight!Paul
